I have run into a problem getting the "sign-up" and "password" secure components to work.  I have successfully produced the same "error" result - after 2 completely different tries.

First I get an HTML script in my browser instead of a web page - then when I hit the refresh button - I get the following verbiage "addFile($nof_langFile); ?>" in the top left of the browser and no evidence of any forms.

I know I am missing something.  So, could someone go through the simple steps needed to drop and publish and see the result on a windows xp laptop.

Thanks.

You are missing PHP support.  The Secure Script uses PHP and if you see PHP code it is a (almost) sure sign of no PHP support.

Thanks for the reply.  Now, can you point me in a direction (ie User Guide or tutorials, perhaps an example?) where I can get up to speed on this?  PHP is a foreign language to me at this point.  I assume that I cannot run or test this on my local computer - that somehow it needs to be on a server?  So configuration is also going to be a question I will have.  Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

www.PHP.net is the website where you can find out more about PHP, but basicly, all you need to do it get a hosting company that has PHP.  I recommend Dreamhost.  I have a link to them on my links page (www.learnNOF.com/links.html).
You will not need to know any PHP to do it, you would just have to create the files with NOF, and publish them to your host and then you can view them.
There should be no configuration needed.

Not sure that getting PHP support is going to resolve this problem.  Of course you server should support PHP in order to run the secure site components.  But I found that you will get the "addFile($nof_langFile); ?>" message in the upper left hand corner of your browser if you put the Secure Page Component in the Master Border instead of the Layout.  There may be other ways of generating this message but I haven't run into them yet.

hmm, good point... I never did that, so I don't know if that would do that or not, but it makes sense that it would....
